I was brushing my teeth this morning .... no one else will do that for me. I put gas in my car so I can drive to work.... hmmm.... work .... I need to work to support my family and myself. I bought groceries, prepared a meal and did the clean up. Much of what I do only I can do because it is my life and in a sense I am responsible for "my" world. I am thankful for the health, strength and opportunity to live out my life.

When it comes to being responsible for "our" world ,well, that's when "I" can't do much. It is when we realize that we as a team can be part of a God centered endeavor to advance the Kingdom here and now that things start happening. It's exciting to work together with others. Recently, some good things have started because of teamwork and a sense of community. Forever Angels and Regen Community have teamed together for a fund raising event in Edmonton with proceeds to go to the baby home in Tanzania and "Sarah's School" in DR Congo. Malissa Huillery (Forever Angels) graciously invited Regen Community to join her event and together we can work toward making a difference with greater strength.

My involvement with Youth for Christ has opened some doors for teamwork as well. I was talking to Bill Rice(YFC) a few months ago about some concerns within Youth for Christ Africa. Bill informed me about a man in Kinshasa DRC that is heading up Youth for Christ Congo. This man's greatest need is for trained leaders to be part of his team. I immediately thought,"Leaders? That's what Kenzo and FACTEB do; train leaders for ministry and community developement!!! " Some messages were sent to Kenzo at FACTEB and these two groups are now in contact with each other.

Teamwork! The realization that we are all working toward the same goal can be exciting and productive.

" If you want to go fast, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together! "

Thanks for reminding me of this key aspect of getting most things done.
