Man PrayingWe had a prayer meeting on Nov 28, 2009 with people from both Canada and Congo. We had an update and were able to pray together. The following with a the update summary.

Kenzo's Update

  • Atmosphere on campus is going well with a strong commencement.
  • 68 Students are enrolled in FACTEB this year which is 1 up from last year.
  • Campus has had power problems again.
  • Construction
    • The first coat painting of C1/C2 is complete
    • Sarah's School upgrade of the facility is progressing
    • Starting excavation on new library
  • Opening Women's program to those who are not spouses of students
  • They are also considering opening Sarah's school to non-campus children
  • Kenzo is busy and will be leaving for DR Congo on December 16, 2009.
    • Work session at First Alliance church today
    • Preaching at High River tomorrow
  • The kids here are doing well and Ike is busy with student government
  • Ami has the flue
  • Tutu and Afo are doing well in Africa.
  • Lau is very busy with school and home.
  • She is overseeing construction of the house - they are currently putting in windows.

Lau's Update

  • Sarah's school
    • 22 students 16 form students kids - 6 from community
    • Germain, the teacher is doing  good job
    • Feeding or porridge is continuing
  • Student's wife school
    • 16 wives are in the program
  • Started the cafeteria on campus - focused on single students to provide 1 meal per day
    • Pray that Student's can find money so they can afford meals
  • Tutu is now in grade 7 and Afo is in grade 6.
  • Malaria is once again present at school

Rene's Update

  • Greetings from Boma
  • New student's are dedicated and have maturity
  • Projects are proceeding well
    • Women's school is progressing well and they are currently making bricks
    • Foundation of new library is progressing under the leadership of a local Engineer
