ReGen is pleased to announce that the African Leaders program has just provided scholarships to 53 deserving leadership students at FACTEB in Boma, DR Congo.

The funding of the scholarships was made possible through donations by individual Canadians. The scholarships awarded were in the amount of $375 CAD each and make it possible for many students to attend the degree granting institution who could not otherwise do so.

In reflecting on the scholarship announcement, Wayne Regehr, Regen Community's President said, "We are grateful that ReGen can continue to be a bridge for Canadians to partner with future Congolese leaders. The developing of strong leaders is key for Africa's future.

While the funding of the scholarships for this year are complete, the attention now shifts to raising funds for the 2010/2011 academic year.
