ReGen Community is pleased to announce our Connect with Congo 2014 campaign running from October 24 through December 31, 2014. The objective of the campaign is to grow awareness of the challenges of the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) and to raise volunteers and funds to work with our partners to make changes.

Key aspects of the campaign include:

  • Dr. Mabiala Kenzo and Lau Kenzo will travel from the DR Congo to give us their report. The Kenzos provide leadership to the C&MA church in the DR Congo.
  • Taste of Congo showcasing Congolese food, music and dance.
  • Movie Nights showing War Witch, a award-winning Canadian documentary about a 12 year girl abducted to become a child soldier.
  • Our first Connect with Congo event in Edmonton.

The campaign will kick off during Congo Week and will continue on with events and speakers from the DR Congo throughout November. The campaign will shift to an online campaign in December concluding on December 31.
